Scottish oatcakes. These are the standard measurements I use: 3 cups old fashioned oats,1/2 tsp baking powder, 1 cup boiling water (buttermilk tastes better), 3 tbs butter, 1/2 tsp salt. Preheat oven to 350. Bake 20 minutes.
Oatbran Muffin 6 ct: 1 C. oat bran hot cereal uncooked,1⁄8 C. firmly packed brown sugar, 1 tsp. baking powder,1⁄4 tsp. salt, 1/2 C. milk, 4 tsp. beaten egg, 1⁄8 C. honey or maple syrup, 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil. Stir in 1/4 C. frozen blueberries or 1 small ripe mashed banana.
