St. Padre Pio for the Catholic worry-wort. :D St. Francis de Sales wrote that the Devil goes fishing in the waters of worry, and he's right: worry is antithetical to being able to discern well. For those of us who struggle with anxiety, Solomon's prayer for wisdom and an understanding heart (1 Kings 3) can be helpful.
Pio of Pietrelcina O.F.M. Cap. (1887- 1968), known as Padre Pio, was a friar, priest, stigmatist, and mystic, now venerated as a saint of the Roman Catholic Church. Born Francesco Forgione, he was given the name of Pius when he joined the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin.
