Wondering if your temps are normal? Before you ovulate (follicular phase), temps are usually 97-97.8°F. After ovulation, they usually jump up to 98-98.8°F. If your follicular temps are consistently below 97° or even in the very low 97's, sometimes this can indicate thyroid issues. After ovulation, the higher the temps the better (generally speaking). This picture is from an article called “The Rescuing Hug”. The article details the first week of life of a set of twins. Each were in their respective incubators and one was not expected to live. A hospital nurse fought against the hospital rules and placed the babies in one incubator. When they were placed together, the healthier of the two, threw an arm over her sister in an endearing embrace. The smaller baby’s heart stabilized and temperature rose to normal.

bumgenius guidelines for washing diapers: (just a few diapers?use less detergent to fit with less water) for a full washtub of water: 1. Wash on normal cold cycle, ¼ of the detergent manufacturer's recommended amount. a full wash cycle helps remove leftover "yuck" & prevent stains. 2. Wash with the same detergent amount again, on hot - no more than 150 degrees. 3. Do a second rinse (any temperature you prefer). 5. You may use ¼ cup oxidized bleach in your hot wash once/month.
