A NEW UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE OF INDIA UNESCO has declared that the archaeological site of Nalanda University at Nalanda, Bihar is now authoritatively a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nalanda University site dates back to 5th century BC. This site was a renowned Mahavihara (Buddhist monastery) and centre of knowledge in Magadha, now modern Bihar.

Aberystwyth Castle - It dates from 1277, and was constructed a mile away from the site of the first castle which was started in 1110 and then was destroyed twice and rebuilt three times. The new castle was captured by the Welsh in 1282 and again in 1403.
