Milton Berle (born Milton Berlinger, July 12, 1908 – March 27, 2002) was an American comedian and actor. As the host of NBC's Texaco Star Theater (1948–55), he was the first major American television star and was known to millions of viewers as "Uncle Miltie" and "Mr. Television" during TV's golden age.

Milton Berle (Uncle Milty) 1975 ... saw him while waiting in line for the Carol Burnette show at the CBS Studios, he looked so old!

JAY MARSHALL 1919-2005 Chicago magician and ventriloquist performing for over six decades with his wiseacre dummy rabbit ,Lefty. Marshall appeared with Lefty on the Ed Sullivan Show 14 times and was the opening act for such performers as Frank Sinatra, Milton Berle, and Liberace. He was also the owner of Magic Inc. in Chicago's North Side since 1962. While on Army duty during World War II, he brought Lefty to life with a khaki Army glove.
