Duchess of Cambridge - The Queen and the Prime Minister are leading the nation in honouring the servicemen and women who fought and died during the conflict in Afghanistan as part of a commemoration service today at St Paul's Cathedral in London. - 13th March 2015
Lt Colonel David Stirling DSO. Founder of the SAS (Special Air Service). Stirling often led from the front, during hit-and-run operations and organised deals to sell British weapons and military personnel to other countries after the war and was the founder of the PMC (Private Military Company) KAS International.
RAVC arms and explosive search dog Sadie, seen here with handler Lance Corporal Yardley was awarded the Dickin Medal in February 2007, for outstanding gallantry and devotion to duty while assigned to the Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Light Infantry during conflict in Afghanistan in 2005. NARA, St. Louis. This is your 'Go To' site to get started on US Military records for Veterans. I have used it multiple times and received terrific service and super results. Only challenge is the losses of WWII records in their devastating fire of 1973. But I did get one set .... charred on the edges that they preserved. Amazing!
