46503 "Solomon Islands" : Ex-LMS 4-6-0 5XP Jubilee class No 45603 'Solomon Islands' passes Coventry No 3 signal cabin light engine. Built as LMS No 5603 by the North British Locomotive Company in May 1935 it remained in service until December 1962 when it was withdrawn from Nuneaton shed to be scrapped during February 1963 at Crewe works.

Very little is known about the North British Locomotive Company's Reid-MacLeod Turbine Locomotive. This was an early attempt at a steam turbine locomotive, but it was not the North British's first.
