I actually have done this several times and it never fails me. I used it before mel's to slim down so I could make tape. I lost 4 inches then. I have only done it once lately and lost two inches.
Homemade Stem Ginger is so easy to make & so much better than shop bought. Chop finely & add to ginger cakes, puddings or biscuits for a real ginger hit. The syrup makes a delicious ginger cordial.
