Love was the original motive, but until he had the justification from Daisy, that she did actually love him, the wealth and status he built for himself meant nothing. He may have believed that without the status, Daisy would never love him.

Status Quo- Christopher has many likes and dislikes, however a couple of the most common likes that he has is his love for dogs and his rat. This relates to the story in a variety of different ways. Ok civil war feels. Tony literally lets himself be on lower status to steve so when hes told "im sorry tony but hes my friend..." Tony feels betrayed because steve the one he lowered his status for who he considered a friend even if they have differences. So was i is all he could respond because the man he thought he could trust more than anything betrayed him
