Shakespeare's Globe: The Globe Theatre has been around for 418 years therefore it first built in 1599. The theatre is a ring-shaped building with no roof above the centre, this makes it very different from modern theatres today. Due to the open roof and wooden structure it can get quite cold, and because it was made to be as authentic as possible, it has no heating.
