The Log House, Ambleside, was shipped over from Norway by the artist, Heaton Cooper Senior (Arthur) as his studio. First in Coniston, possibly near the Ruskin Museum, it was then moved to Ambleside. After he died it became a coffee shop. The conservatory is a later addition.
The Shank Wood is a rustically designed cabin in keeping with the surroundings of the cabin - Rural Retreats Lake District.
