Exe to Sea Cruises, (Dawlish)

Devon, UK - Train rounding the cliffs, heading toward the Dawlish sea wall. One of the best train journeys in the UK. The tracks hug the estuary of the Exe river, then go along the edge of the beach for several miles. The cliffs are red from the high percentage of iron in the rock.

Here is a photo that I feel can teach both photography and studio artists. LEADING LINES. They tell the viewer where to look. This can be effective in any form of art. Try this at least once, please.

Cold Dark Matter: An Exploded View by Cornelia Parker. Saw this at The Tate Modern, London and completely fell in love with it. There was so much to see in the actual exhibit and the single lightbulb lighting the room made it almost feel magical with all the shadows on the walls.

String Map. This string map of the Underground tube lines is a representation of something so complex and confusing and even more so with its timetable. However, something so chaotic is expressed through something so simple as string.

in this image the photographer has used a macro lens to capture the detail and texture in the coral, there isn't a lot of color in it so that takes away some of the distraction so we focus more on the lines and imagine what it would feel like to touch it and feel it, which creates a lot more of interest in it. it gets the viewers senses flowing
