I have highlighted this image because I like how the image is simple yet effective at demonstrating how light can be used in photography. This image was created with a high exposure setting which would more light in the image such as the trail, The trail would've been created by a person walking along with a torch held above the ground.

Veronica Lake 1940, photo by George Hurrell. (PIC 4) I love this image as the highlights and shadows are drastic, which gives a strong and dominant feel to the photo. Therefore making the women in the image important in some way. This is something I am going to consider in my own images as to portray the Hollywood actress as important and well known.
Big Ben and houses of parliament Depth of Field being used creatively - I feel this gives a much better effect than having shot the image with a smaller aperture which would give a bigger focus in the image (so Big Ben in the background would have been in focus too).
