Potala Palace: Lhasa, Tibet. This building served as the residence of the Dalai Lama, as well as a monastery, mausoleum and governmental offices. That all changed in 1959, when the People's Liberation Army of China ousted the Dalai Lama and took control of Tibet and the palace. Sad.
"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend." ~ Melody Beattie Buddhist Temple, Lhasa, Tibet
