I'm not big on gallery walls, but I like this idea. Make it a small smattering over a hall table/entryway bench, and fill in spaces with small items/letters instead of just a bunch of similarly-sized frames.
LESSON 1: Objective- combining tessellations with photography using technology such as Photoshop. Intro to cropping; negative space vs positive space. (optional: consider actually printing/cutting the tessellations to create a puzzle.)
My incredibly talented friend Jen made this lovely display look "just right" using newspaper cutout in the sizes of her frames. Adjust, fiddle, switch, rearrange... and then hang with lovely results :)
