Bessy's Cove. In 18th- and early 19th-century Britain, taxes on luxury products and even some staples were so high that smuggling flourished in western Cornwall. Bessy's Cove is famous for being a route that these smuggler's would have taken.
Pink sedum, echinacea, Russian sage, and spiky bright purple liatris in mid-late Summer. The tallest shrub, Eupatorium maculatum 'Gateway' Joe-Pye Weed, is a prairie native, and should do well in the Intermountain West.
