Benihana's Ginger Dressing 1 cup soybean oil or peanut oil 3/4 cup white vinegar 3 teaspoons tomato paste 1/2 cup soy sauce 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1 small Spanish onion (10 oz., I found it to much so I use 7-8 oz.) ginger (1 oz., or to your taste, I used more) 1 piece celery (2 oz.) 1/4 piece lemon (rind & all) 1/2 cup water
KoBE white sauce 1-1/4 cup Hellmann’s mayonnaise 1/4 cup water 1 tablespoon melted butter 1 teaspoon tomato paste 1 teaspoon sugar 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon paprika a small pinch of cayenne pepper Using a whisk, blend all ingredients together thoroughly until well mixed and the sauce has smoothed out. Refrigerate overnight to allow all of the flavors to blend. no substitutions :)
Clear Onion Soup (like Japanese steakhouse). I used this recipe except it needed something: some beef boullion. I used a 1/2 cube to 1c water. Also I think I will use sauteed mushrooms next time. I did cook them in the broth for a while which made em better, but sauteed will be best. Topped with Frech's fried onions instead. Very good!
