Two of five baby white lions play in the Manchurian Tiger Garden in northeast China's Heilongjiang province. Their parents came from Argentina in 2003. The cubs are wonders in more ways than one - not only are do they have white fur, they have been fed only on sheep milk as their mother did not have enough milk for them all.
This is Romeo, a picture I took in 2010. He was of the Marsh Pride of the Masai Mara, and was one of my favourites along with Clawed and Notch. Sadly, I fear Romeo is no more, his whereabouts are unknown, having been recently driven out of the pride along with Clawed by four new males.
