John Nance Garner - Born near the village of Detroit in Red River County in eastern Texas. 32nd Vice President of the United States. Because John was a lawyer in Concan, Garner State Park is named after him.
The Center for American History is a special collections library, archive, and museum that facilitates research and sponsors programs on the historical development of the United States.
