JB Priestley’s An Inspector Calls, directed by Stephen Daldry, at the Playhouse theatre.

I’m not ashamed to admit it: An Inspector Calls is one of my favourite plays. An always potent blend of fine dramatic craft and good old-fashioned social conscience, JB Priestley’s drama is a perennial winner. And what a collaborator Priestley found back in 1992 in Stephen Daldry, whose definitive National Theatre production is revived once more here.

An Inspector Call. I have originality read the book version before watching this film adaption. Plus, my first introduction in both film and book format was when I was studying in my English Literature in my secondary school. To this day this is one of my favourite novel due to theme and character development J.B. Priestley's novel.

Review: An Inspector Calls at Richmond Theatre

WHEN Stephen Daldry unveiled his groundbreaking production of JB Priestley’s theatrical warhorse in 1992, critics and audiences fell over themselves to praise it.

There is something so magic about the snow. J.B. Priestley puts it in words better than I ever could.
