Sony files patent for glove-style VR controller Sony has filed a patent for a touch- and motion-sensitive virtual reality controller with a glove-like form factor. The controller works in concert with a VR headset and features a PlayStation Move-esque trackable light mounted to the user’s wrist, as well as sensors that can detect finger flexure and contact with objects. It also includes “at least one inertial sensor for generating inertial sensor data,” which brings it in..
Eye to the Sky The Sway Master uses a GPS receiver to detect the speed of the vehicle and an inertial sensor to detect trailer sway. Combining the two technologies, the Sway Master calculates the amount of brake force to apply.
