Unknown Miraculous Image. Has anyone seen this image of Mother Mary before? FYI: my sister purchased a cookbook at a second hand store many years ago. Thumbing through the pages, she found this image of Mother Mary. Does anyone know anything about this image? We appreciate any information you may have. Thank you and God bless!

I had a small collection of the Flower Fairy books as a child. You can almost smell the nasturtiums and feel their squeakiness.

I don't know the origin of this image, but look at the proliferation of symbols! That looks like the moon under her feet (as in the Immaculate Conception), the Immaculate Heart on her chest, and the rosary in her hand.

Our Lady of Guadalupe - In 1531, Mother Mary appeared to St. Juan Diego, a poor farmer in Guadalupe, Mexico. She requested for a chapel to be built where she stood. He could not convince his bishop so Mother Mary gave him some roses as a sign. When he showed them to the bishop, a beautiful image of Mother Mary appeared on his cape! After that, great numbers of people believed in Jesus and the miraculously image can still be seen today in Mexico. Her feast day is on 12 December.
