When one blanket ends another begins! Well actually this was started last week but has been on hold whilst I finished a couple of other things. Variegated yarn is a funny animal, sometimes it works with crochet and other times it really doesn't! Fortunately this yarn (red heart unforgettable) has lovely long colour changes so it is working nicely for this pattern (by Celeste Young)

DIY - Granny heart With the glorious sunshine of the Spring outside, it’s hard to stay focused on my handy projects. But I managed to make this over some netflix time one night, using some left over yarn for a rainbow heart, love the color combination! ༺✿ƬⱤღ http://www.pinterest.com/teretegui/✿༻
Colors are half treble crochet, alternated with rows of white single crochet. This would be a good way to use up old yarn. American half treble crochet: - Yo twice. Insert hook in next stitch and draw up a loop (4 loops on hook) - Yo and draw through two loops (3 loops on hook) - Yo and draw through remaining loops (1 loop on hook)
