Epic hot chocolate

This hot chocolate is off the scale. It's so simple to make and is much better than that shop-bought stuff you get, which is often full of rubbish and probably hasn't got much chocolate in it anyway. I don't want you to feel cheated, I want you to have the real thing… life's too short not to.

Horlicks Original Malt Jar - 17.6oz (500g)

'Horlicks' malted beverage. Invented by English brothers: James & William Horlick. The Malted Milk was patented in 1883, first intended as an infant food: later renamed ‘Horlicks’ and said to promote sleep when drunk at bedtime. James, a pharmacist, went to the US in 1875, and developed a new product that provided a highly nutritious food for infants and invalids. He was also granted a U.S patent for the first malt drink powder that could be mixed with hot water.

Chocolate Malt Cupcakes with Malt Buttercream Frosting.. The Perfect Malteser Cupcakes for any occasion! One of my favourite bakes (or rather.. Non-Bakes) has been my No-Bake Chocolate Malteser Cheesecake. I have been craving doing a Malt type cupcake or cake for SO LONG NOW I can’t cope, but it finally happened. I had a random craving for Horlicks and got bored of it after one drink, so what should I do next? Bake with it. Always always always bake with leftover stuff! I decided to go more…

Horlicks and prune tea loaf cake

Horlicks and prune tea loaf cake with chocolate drizzle is our lovely take on a malt loaf cake with a twist. It's goes so well with a cup of afternoon tea, and it is even better for sharing with friends when they pop round. The chocolate drizzled on top is a fab finishing touch that takes it to the next level.
