Castles: Hampton Court Palace, London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames, Greater London, Middlesex, England. It was originally built for Cardinal Thomas Wolsey, a favourite of King Henry VIII, circa 1514; in 1529, as Wolsey fell from favor, the palace passed to the King. It exhibits its original Tudor style, as well as signs of its later Baroque remodeling.
Hampton Court: You have to wonder how many Tudors, Elizabethans, Jacobeans looked out this window. And what their thoughts were, their worries, their comforts. All this, just from a 16th century window.
