North Dakota Hotdish From North Dakota and we never called it "Funeral Hotdish" as she says is the real name. We called it Hamburger Hotdish. It isn't uncommon for it to be part of the meal after a funeral, but it is also popular at any larger gatherings like weddings, birthdays, graduations, etc. - HF
Chow Mein Hotdish ~Ingredients~ -1 lb Hamburger -1 Can Cream of Mushroom -1 Can Cream of Chicken -2 tbls Soy Sauce -1.5 cups water -1.5 cups of Minute Maid Rice -Celery (optional) -Bag of Chow Mein noodles Cook: Brown hamburger. In separate dish, mix Can of Mushroom, Can of Chicken, rice, water and soy sauce until mixed evenly. add hamburger. Place dish in overn for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. After 30 min. add Chow mein egg noodles. Bake for another 10 minutes.
