Laura Trott sets gold standard as team win

For Great Britain’s track cycling team, the gilded procession rolls on. Yesterday evening in the Olympic velodrome, it was the turn of the women to win the team’s third gold medal. And minutes later, Becky James added a silver in the Keirin. The GB women’s pursuit team — Katie Archibald, Laura Trott, Elinor Barker and Joanna Rowsell-Shand — stormed to victory in the final, shattering the world record and beating the United States by more than two seconds.

Sir Steven Geoffrey Redgrave CBE DL (born on 23 March 1962); is a retired British rower who won gold medals at five consecutive Olympic Games from 1984 to 2000 as well as a bronze medal at the 1988 Summer Games. He has also won three Commonwealth Games gold medals and nine World Rowing Championships gold medals.
