The Artist, Grandma Moses and Her Paintings

Grandma Moses began her art career in her 70's ...became successful and was busy as world renown artist until her death at age 101.

"Sugaring Off" Painting by Grandma Moses. Sold in 2006 after her death for 1.2 million. She started painting in her 70's when her arthritis made embroidery too painful. She produced over 2000 paintings.

Becca Stadtlander

There's something about Becca Stadtlander's illustrations that seems to fit in so nicely with the holidays. Perhaps it's the nostalgic folk art influence. Or the fact that each work brings me to the most comfortable and warm place I know . . . home.
