▶ Paul Simon - Graceland - The ability to interweave the cultures, to me it's obvious. Interweave them musically, anyways. Because we're just taking songs and having a musical discussion across a language barrier without any problem and understanding each other. And that was like Graceland. That's what that album had an usual degree of understanding, amongest people who had just met. ~ Paul Simon

GRACELAND by PAUL SIMON. After the minimally successful predecessors One-Trick Pony and Hearts & Bones comes an award-winning, worldwide blockbuster mixing pop, folk and African music. While highlighted by "The Boy in the Bubble," "Diamonds on the Souls of Her Shoes," and the title track, "You Can Call Me Al" and its video featuring Chevy Chase remains a longtime favorite.

I have to say, I wasn't a big Zeppelin fan when this album came out, but discovered them in the last couple of decades and am a fan now.

I remember seeing this video in '86 and telling my mom that Chevy Chase had a new single out.
