Have You Seen It - A Free, Tiny Library

The Little Free Library - Todd Bol, an international development consultant - came up with this idea: The Little Free Library, a nonprofit that seeks to place small, accessible book exchange boxes in neighborhoods around the world. Users can purchase the boxes directly from LFL’s website, download plans to build their own or completely wing it. As of 2013 there are 6,000 LFLs across the planet.

(love the attached bench!) Karen Brunner. Hudson, WI. I am an academic librarian and grew up with a mom who would drop everything to take me to the library. Now my husband and I are doing our best to instill a love of books and libraries in our two young daughters. A big thank you to my dad for making me such a wonderful library!

Their system is to have volunteers build and maintain little libraries where passersby can "take a book, leave a book." http://littlefreelibrary.org/ (Spokane, WA #2410)
