Brown Foundation #Grants: deadlines: ongoing; current emphasis is in the field of public education at the primary and secondary levels; focus on supporting non-traditional and innovative approaches which are designed to improve public education primarily within the State of Texas; visual and performing arts remain a principal area of interest plus community service projects which serve the needs of children and families.
Lois Lenski Covey Foundation #Grants: due May 13, 2016; for libraries and (other institutions that operate a library) to purchase books published for young people preschool through grade 8; to libraries or organizations that serve economically or socially at-risk children, have limited book budgets, and demonstrate real need.
NEA Foundation grants Throughout the year, the NEA Foundation awards close to 200 grants to support educators' efforts to close the achievement gaps, develop creative learning opportunities for students, and enhance their own professional development. All NEA members can apply for an NEA Foundation grant. The next application deadline is Oct. 15.
