Here's proof once again that anything can be transformed into a light fixture. Most people see a birdcage and rusty floor lamp base, but Lara saw an eclectic floor lamp (and conversation piece).


A captain's desk from a ship is converted into a shabby-chic writing desk thanks to a paint job and new drawer knobs.


This locker alone would have been great for a mudroom or in the garage, but Lara went a step further by adding a seat cushion. Now, this piece serves double duty as storage and seating.
