You Can Now Spend the Night In the Barndominium From 'Fixer Upper'
One of Joanna Gaines' favorite projects from season three (you may remember it from episode six), the famous "barndominium" in Waco, Texas is now available to rent through HomeAway. Adding Fixer Upper style to your home is a good idea, but spending the night in a home from the HGTV show is even better!
In addition to the new cabinetry and concrete countertops, we installed a bold patterned backsplash and a unique vent hood which was actually made out of wood. We hired a specialist to come in and paint it to look metal, which saved on budget and added a neat detail to the space. I chose to add this mobile wooden island to the kitchen to break up the black and white, and add some extra functionality to the room.
The kitchen of the newly renovated Jones home has been completely transformed. A wall was removed to increase the size of the kitchen and to add to the open feel of the home. Some key elements are the stainless steel appliances, farm sink, pantry, and subway inspired tile on the backsplash, as seen on Fixer Upper. (after)
