Shadow puppets have been used by many Eastern and Western cultures to tell their stories. This is an example of a finely cut Wayang Kulit puppet from Java, Indonesia. It is made from buffalo skin with rods made from cow horns.
WHY NOT ON CLAY??? Try wax resist on stamps! Instead of dipping a block in color, the artist dips a block in liquid wax and then prints on the paper. Once the paper is dry, the artist paints the paper with color and irons the paper to remove the wax. Great for glaze resisting.
