Father Of Statistics

America, where white crime (the most dangerous and deadliest) is invisible. This is white privilege. If you are any other color, no matter what you do, you will be judged by the color of your skin despite the fact that statistically and historically, white males have proven to be the most dangerous to our safety and well-being.

And for the record: Evolution is NOT a belief. It is a fact. I didn't choose to believe in evolution. I examined and acknowledged the evidence that supports it.

Leonard Susskind is a Professor of Theoretical Physics at Stanford University. His research interests include string theory, quantum field theory, quantum statistical mechanics and quantum cosmology. Susskind is widely regarded as one of the fathers of string theory, having, with Yoichiro Nambu and Holger Bech Nielsen, independently introduced the idea that particles could in fact be states of excitation of a relativistic string. He also introduced the idea of the string theory landscape.

Enrico Fermi (29 September 1901 – 28 November 1954) was an Italian physicist, best known for his work on Chicago Pile-1 (the first nuclear reactor), and for his contributions to the development of quantum theory, nuclear and particle physics, and statistical mechanics. He is one of the men referred to as the "father of the atomic bomb".

John von Neumann-American mathematician founding father of game theory (the application of mathematics to economic, military, political, and social conflict) and computer design.

In 1896, Wilhelm Wien empirically determined a distribution law of black-body radiation, known as Wien's law in his honor. Ludwig Boltzmann independently arrived at this result by considerations of Maxwell's equations. However, it was valid only at high frequencies, and underestimated the radiance at low frequencies. Later, Max Planck corrected this model using Boltzmann statistical interpretation of thermodynamics.

In some parts of the world, half of the women lack basic reading and writing skills. The reasons vary, but in many cases, literacy isn't valued by fathers, husbands, even mothers. Photographer and TED Fellow Laura Boushnak traveled to countries including Yemen, Egypt and Tunisia to highlight brave women -- schoolgirls, political activists, 60-year-old moms -- who are fighting the statistics.
