A nameless girl from a nomadic desert people sacrifices herself to save her sister's life when Lo-Melkhiin, who has killed three hundred girls, comes to her village looking for a wife. She expects to die, but her storytelling ability keeps her alive.
Snow Like Ashes – Sara Raasch - This has got to be one of my favourite book worlds ever. Primoria is so cleverly crafted and wonderful. My expectations were sky-high for this and they were met then met some more. Magical and brilliant.
Graceling (Graceling Realm #1) by Kristin Cashore. A lovely YA fantasy novel with a strong, sword-wielding heroine. Creative and enjoyable. Fun characters, a unique and interesting world, and an engaging plot. <3 YA fantasy. Click through for full review.
Hands down best books I've read in a while! I know there are mixed reviews and you will probly either love it or hate it but I think the plot is great, the characters have depth and even though I love romance fantasy, I appreciate that love is NOT in the least bit the focal point of this series.
