I often times feel like there is something wrong with me, and that is why people blame me for things I haven't done and use it as an excuse to leave. I've even in certain instances, when I see that situation forming, made sure to beat them to the punch, to leave first. Healing from such a thing is worse than a break up or divorce, in my experience. But yes, once the grief has worked itself out, I realize that I'm better off and better for it.
