This Introducing the Engineering Design Process Worksheet was designed for middle school students learning about the Engineering Design Process for the first time. Key vocabulary includes engineers, brainstorming, constraints, troubleshooting, redesign, trade-offs, and patent. This double-sided worksheet features a helpful content summary at the top which students can refer back to while they’re working if they need help. It goes perfectly with my Engineering Design Process Posters.
Free interactive flip book to plan out every step of the engineering design process. The flip book has a cover page, definition page, and blank student page for each step: Ask, Imagine, Plan, Create, and Improve.Includes an engineering design process poster. This is created as an accompaniment to my Simple Machines Bundle.
This STEM catapult challenge involves engineering, geometry, ratios, critical thinking, and teamwork in an engaging activity your students will love! Using the engineering design process along with math skills, teams of students will build two catapult designs from common materials. Each team will then test at three stations: Distance, Accuracy, and Power. Included are follow-up math problems for enhanced learning. One of our favorite STEM activities!
