Phobos: Doomed Moon of Mars. This moon is doomed. Mars, the red planet named for the Roman god of war, has two tiny moons, Phobos and Deimos, whose names are derived from the Greek for Fear and Panic. These martian moons may well be captured asteroids originating in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter or perhaps from even more distant reaches of the Solar System.
“You must learn one thing: the world was made to be free in. Give up all the other worlds except the one to which you belong. Sometimes it takes darkness and the sweet confinement of your aloneness to learn anything or anyone that does not bring you alive is too small for you.” ― David Whyte This is beautiful.
Los satélites del Sistema Solar: Deimos es el segundo satélite de Marte y el más pequeño. Tiene un radio de sólo 6,2 kilómetros y tarda 30 horas en completar una vuelta alrededor del planeta rojo. #astronomia #ciencia
