#2 Cerebral Palsy.org has a section that explains the origin and history of Cerebral Palsy. There are several individuals that have contributed to the study of Cerebral Palsy. In 1861, Dr. William Little was the first to define CP as the result of an abnormal form of labor in which the infant is partially suffocated. Later, Dr. Sigmund Freud theorized that CP was caused by abnormal fetal development.
Whether you are diagnosed w/ down syndrome, cerebral palsy, diabetes, obesity, or heart disease or whatever... it does not mean that you are no longer the same as everyone!!
