Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage

@David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Many of these elephants have been traumatized, after watching their parents killed. When they arrive, each orphan gets caretakers that stay with them 24/7, including sleeping with them. The loving keepers become substitute "parents", giving the babies the best possible chance of survival, and good mental health, and the best chance to return to the wild some day. #animals&people

The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya. The mothers of these orphaned elephants were killed by poachers for their ivory tusks, leaving behind babies who are milk-dependent for 3 years. Keepers take care of them 24/7 especially at night, in order to feed the babies every 3 hours. There's true devotion for you! #ivoryforelephants #elephants #stoppoaching
