Count Basie (American jazz pianist organist bandleader) After years of entertaining others with his jazz piano he went on his own to form the Count Basie Jazz Orchestra which entertained audiences for fifty odd years. The albums he is noted for are "Basie At Newport" and "Ella and Basie." The songs he is known for are Everyday (I Have the Blues), April In Paris and One O'Clock Jump.
