Awesome Reading Comprehension Questions based on Bloom's taxonomy - I teach teenagers but many of the ideas posted for younger children can be adapted for the age range I teach - particularly for 'starters'.....you have got to hand it to the kindergarten teachers in the US :)
Bloom's Taxonomy - I’m trying to get [my year 5 class] to become more independent with their thinking/comprehension etc. I've incorporated Bloom into two lessons so far and it has been brilliant! One was comprehension questions where they had to think of their own comprehension questions using Bloom as a guide - they worked around the wheel. The second lesson was a hot seating lesson where the questions for the character came from the Bloom stems.
A great resource for students to use while writing about reading! Students are able to decide using the ring of cards which prompt they want to use. Sentence frames are also included to guide their writing or collaborative conversations around literature.
