American Authors Projects and Presentations Projects: For this project, two authors and two different themes within American Culture are required.  Some examples include Ben Franklin and Optimism, Mark Twain and Reinvent Oneself to Kurt Vonnegut and Overcoming Adversity. After choosing two authors with two different themes students must choose the type of project he/she will complete and present to the class: a compare and contrast essay, a diary, a collage, or a time capsule. Grades 6-12. $
