The Berlin Design Guide is the first of a series of travel books focused on arts and design in the world's most creative cities. It offers a behind the scenes look at Berlin's architecture, fashion, culture and cuisine, through maps, info-graphics, shop and studio profiles, and interviews with local designers. Publisher Alphabet Press asked for a personal design with a user-friendly navigational system and structure that could be applied across the entire series.
Next triangle step - Sonia Castillo. Throughout any design work there should be consistency, linking your ideas and designs together to create your own identity, and make your work more recognisable. This piece of work is a great example of following a consistent theme.
I think, as contents page, this page is really strong on the design front. The simple colours of black and white go well with the vibrant photograph used. The composition has been well thought through with a good mix of graphics, shape and alignment.
