Grandma's Chicken 'n' Dumpling Soup. Made this for dinner tonight. Yummy! I used a chicken in a bag and cooked it, skipping the first step of the recipe. When the chicken was cool I stripped all the meat and added it to the pot with the juice from the bag and all the veggies.
Chicken and dumplings - I use the recipe for the Barefoot Contessa's recipe for 40 cloves of garlic chicken and increase the chicken broth, cream and wine to make the liquid for poaching the dumplings instead of this recipe but the dumplings were perfect.
1 - 32 oz can Chicken Broth cooked chicken, shredded 2 cans biscuits 1 can Cream of Chicken pepper, to taste Heat chicken broth in pot, until gently boiling. Add chicken. Quarter biscuits and place in broth. Stir well. Add cream of chicken soup and stir. pepper dumplings. Stir well and let simmer for 5-10 minutes
