A fresh take on a children's play house - a DIY rustic roundhouse made from natural reed screening (walls) and a brushwood screening roof. The area also features a wooden table and chairs made from logs and timber planks. This is our natural children's outdoor play area that my partner and I designed for our child to encourage creative, open-ended play. Designed and made by David Bennett
A Shed or outhouse is vital for anyone considering a self-sufficient lifestyle. Tools need a safe, dry environment, and it is also essential to have a cool dark location to over-winter crops such as apples. Sheds and other garden buldings can be purchased relatively cheaply (e.g. from just £99 for a 6 x 4 foot model)
Check out this project on RYOBI Nation - Needed a baby gate for the top of our basement stairs. I took out the existing basement door, and placed a 29" by 36" wooden baby gate. Made from 1x4 common boards, sanded it down, stained it Golden Oak, screwed it together with 1.25" wood screws, used a gate latch also.
