Help students learn and remember the parts of the plant cell using this diagram crossword. BONUS ACTIVITY: When they've completed the crossword, get them to cut out the diagram, glue it on a separate page and label the parts of the diagram. This activity would work well within an interactive notebook as well. It can function as an assessment of learning, or it can serve as another reinforcement activity. Afterwards, they have a handy labeled diagram to help them review.
This 10 slide PowerPoint presentation was made to align with Georgia Standards in 5th grade Science. It covers microorganisms, multi-celled organisms, single celled organisms, plant cell parts, and animal cell parts. It uses graphic organizers and diagrams to display information.
Cell Bingo: This is a bingo game that I created for my middle school science students to review key vocabulary from our cell parts unit. Students fill their card with any words from the list and I call out the definition. If they know the definition and have the word on their card, they mark it.
ORDER UP! SCIENCE EDITIONS! This set of ORDER UP! focuses on the plant cell parts (students are asked about: ribosomes, chloroplasts, vacuoles, endoplasmic reticulum, cell wall, and more) making this a great assessment or review tool! ($)
