British Olympian Charlotte Dujardis and Valegro made history today by becoming Great Britain's first individual gold medalist in dressage, adding to her team gold medal... and to think, she only began riding Grand Prix in 2011! Love this joyful photo and love that helmet on her head! #Olympics #equestrian
Robert Hall on his pony, who brought Dressage to the world after studying at the Spanish Riding School in Austria, coached the British Olympic Equestrian Team through four Olympics, invented the Fulmer bit and dressage saddle by tweaking the tack used at the Spanish Riding School, and enriched the lives of many children and adults at his Fulmer School of Equitation. One of the greatest equestrians of all time. R.I.P. Mr. Hall.
The most interesting thing about the Countess of Wessex (Edward's wife) and Zara Phillips (Princess Anne's daughter) outfits ould be their hats. Zara wore a hat designed by Karen Henriksen, Sophie one from Jane Taylor. Zara was a surprise show, since it was reported she wouldn't be able to make it as she chases a spot on the British Olympic equestrian team. As for Zara' hubby Mike Tindall, lets just say he was caught in an awkward pose with a soldier's helmet plume framed behind his head.
