Ozwald Boateng OBE is a British fashion designer of Ghanaian descent known for his trademark twist on classic British tailoring style. Inspired by his father's suits, Boateng opened his first shop on Savile Row at the tender age of 23!Today, in addition to a bespoke service, Boateng also produces two ready-to-wear collections a year.In 2008, Boateng was appointed to the REACH committee, as part of a panel to recruit national role models who work to help raise aspirations of black boys.

Princess Alice of the United Kingdom (daughter of Queen Victoria), in wedding dress, 1862. Her father, Prince Albert, had died less than a year before. The veil is the one her daughter, Alexandra, wore on her wedding day to Tsar Nicholas III. Just before Princess Alice's wedding she wore mourning black and right after the wedding she put back on the mourning black. Queen Victoria and some of Princess Alice's siblings cried during her wedding.
